Katy will be presenting a showcase of her new musical 'Soviet Zion' which she is writing with Giles Howe at the London Fringe Festival this Summer.
Katy recently produced and musically directed the UK premiere of new musical 'Ballets Russes' by American wrtier David Reiser at The Rosemary Branch Theatre this summer 2010.
Over Christmas and New Year Katy was the Musical Director of the European Tour of 'The 12 Tenors'.
She also produced and musically directed a showcase of the new musical 'Don't Cry Butterfly' at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane as part of the Mercury Musical Developments 'The Works'.
Highlights of 2009 were the tours of 'Debut', 'Encore' and 'Bravo'. A showcase of new musical theatre from around the world which Katy produced and musically directed with her company A STAGE KINDLY.
Katy has just begun writing the music for a new musical called 'Soviet Zion' with her collaborator Giles Howe. They performed a preview showcase of this on 19th October as part of the branching out festival at The Rosemary Branch Theatre, and a further performance at The Manchester Maccabi.
Being brought up in a musical household, Katy was introduced to music from an early age. Her diverse experiences include, performing extensively in musicals, also working as a pianist, accompanist, vocal coach, composer and singer/songwriter. Since graduating from The London School Of Musical Theatre in 2005 she has become well known amongst theatrical performers, as both an accompanist and vocal coach and has recently co-founded the A STAGE KINDLY New Musical Theatre Initiative which is committed to the future of new writing. She co-wrote the musical-opera 'Turkish Delight The Opera' which was produced at the Rosemary Branch Theatre, Islington with composer Giles Howe.
